The Beauty of Energy: The power of the sun is transforming Hong Kong sustainability

Sustainability in urban environments is more critical than ever, and erbas™ SUSTAIN remains at the forefront of integrating innovative engineering solutions to create greener, more resilient cities.

Our Decarbonisation Lead, Tony Lam, recently contributed to an article in Hong Kong’s CULTURE Magazine, "The Beauty of Energy: The power of the sun is transforming Hong Kong sustainability." In the piece, Tony shared valuable insights on the key drivers behind the adoption of renewable energy in buildings, including government incentives and smart design strategies.

One notable example Tony highlighted is Caulfield Grammar School's Teaching and Learning Building in Melbourne, where 72kW rooftop photovoltaics (PV) and a PV-integrated canopy collectively contribute towards approximately 20% of the school building’s annual energy needs.

By leveraging our expertise in building physics, energy optimisation and green certification systems, erbas™ SUSTAIN bridges the gap between design and execution, ensuring that sustainability goals translate into tangible, high-impact solutions for modern cities.

Read the article and reach out to Tony Lam to learn how these solutions can benefit your projects.
