erbas™ project winner of 2020 'Award for Small Project Architecture'

On Friday 10th July 2020, the Australian Institute of Architects Victorian Chapter announced Cumulus Studio's Protagonist building as the winner of the 2020 Award for Small Project Architecture.

Built by Prime Build, erbas™ provided hydraulic and electrical services for this unique open air café located on the forecourt of Arts Centre Melbourne. It’s striking design is defined by architectural mesh akin of folding theatre curtains, which is adjusted to be raised as the café opens in the morning and lowered when it closes at night.

The project will now be in the running for the National Architecture Awards later in the year. Congratulations to all involved.
