The project included the redevelopment and refurbishment of learning and support spaces, including an existing building of heritage significance.

erbas™ | erbas™ SUSTAIN provided integrated Building Services Design and ESD consultancy, developing services solutions that responded to the site’s heritage constraints while delivering contemporary levels of functionality, occupant comfort and building performance.

Building Services

• Mechanical: Refrigerant-based air conditioning, evaporative cooling, gas heating, mechanical ventilation and natural ventilation.
• Electrical: Power distribution, LED lighting and controls, communications, security, public address and emergency lighting.
• Hydraulic: Hot and cold water, sanitary plumbing, drainage and rainwater systems.
• Fire: Fire hydrant, hose reel and portable fire extinguisher systems.
• ESD: Energy efficiency assessment and advice supporting NCC compliance and overall building performance.

The mechanical design uses tailored solutions across the facility to respond to different occupancy profiles, usage patterns and spatial requirements.

The project demonstrates how integrated building services and ESD design can deliver contemporary, comfortable and efficient educational environments while responding sensitively to heritage considerations and community needs.
