The space is purpose-built to support young people aged 15 to 24 who have experienced barriers to mainstream education.

Hester Hornbrook Academy places equal emphasis on learning and well-being. The new campus includes parent-friendly classrooms, on-site youth workers and psychologists, and support services, such as laundry facilities and food donations, which foster a safe, inclusive and empowering environment.

The building integrates:

  • Therapeutic classrooms and sensory spaces
  • Breakout areas, wellness and counselling rooms
  • A layout that enhances safety and comfort
  • Access zones to allow lockdown control during critical events
  • Open, connected spaces to help students feel part of a community

The Werribee campus is the Academy’s first standalone site, complete with its own green space, and accommodates up to 210 students.
