The Wathaurong Community Hub is a three-storey, purpose-built development designed to provide a culturally significant and functional space for the Wathaurong community. The facility will support a variety of community services, including health, education, cultural programs, and social gatherings, reflecting the Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative’s commitment to community wellbeing and self-determination.

erbas™ is providing Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Fire services, delivering an integrated building services solution that supports operational efficiency, occupant comfort and long-term sustainability outcomes.

The development comprises:

  • A three-storey facility supporting healthcare, offices, gathering spaces, and events for the Wathaurong community
  • Underground and external parking to support community access
  • Landscaped and accessible outdoor areas to enhance the connection between the building and the surrounding community

The design approach prioritises seamless coordination of building services to support occupant wellbeing, functional performance, and sustainability. Key elements include:

  • Energy-efficient mechanical systems tailored to the mixed-use occupancy patterns
  • Low-energy electrical systems with advanced lighting controls
  • Hydraulic systems designed for high-usage community spaces
  • Fire protection systems compliant with relevant building codes and high-density public building requirements
