The $120 million multi‑stage education development represents a complex and highly coordinated program of works, requiring a robust, compliant, and future‑focused building services solution. erbas™ is delivering fully integrated multi‑disciplinary engineering services, including electrical, mechanical, fire protection, hydraulics, and vertical transportation, aligned with VSBA standards, design guidelines, and operational requirements.
The project incorporates a combination of modular and in‑situ construction methodologies, with a strong emphasis on buildability, staging, service continuity, and safety. erbas™'s design approach responds to the challenges of shared‑use arrangements between operators, site‑wide security planning, and progressive campus expansion, ensuring the infrastructure supports both interim and long‑term operational needs while minimising risk during staged delivery.
Stage 1 – Ngurraga School has been carefully designed to support inclusive education outcomes for students with intellectual disability. The campus includes learning neighbourhoods, administration and library facilities, and multi‑purpose buildings, supported by robust, low‑maintenance building services systems. A separately operated kindergarten facility is also incorporated, with services designed to ensure clear functional separation while maintaining overall site integration.
Stage 2 – Yurran P–9 College will deliver a contemporary education environment comprising two‑storey learning neighbourhoods, administration, multi‑purpose spaces, and specialist drama, arts, and technology facilities. Building services systems have been planned to support flexibility, future growth, and evolving pedagogical requirements, consistent with VSBA best‑practice principles.
Upon completion, the combined precinct will provide vital education infrastructure for the Werribee South community, accommodating up to 168 students from Foundation to Year 12 within Ngurraga School and approximately 1,250 students from Foundation to Year 9 within Yurran P–9 College.
The project demonstrates erbas™ proven capability to deliver high‑value, large‑scale VSBA education projects, underpinned by compliance, coordination, risk management, and value‑for‑money outcomes.
