erbas™ provided hydraulic and electrical services for this unique open-air café located on the forecourt of Arts Centre Melbourne. Its striking design features an architectural mesh reminiscent of folding theatre curtains, which can be raised as the café opens in the morning and lowered at closing.

Designed by Cumulus Studio and built by Prime Build, the project was awarded the 2020 Small Project Architecture Award by the Australian Institute of Architects Victorian Chapter. It also went on to be considered for the National Architecture Awards later that year.
