erbas™ delivered engineering services across a bundle of four Early Learning Centres for the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) as part of the Victorian Government’s Best Start, Best Life program. These projects expand early childhood education across Victoria by providing purpose-built facilities co-located with primary schools, improving accessibility for families, supporting smooth transitions to school, and creating high-quality learning environments for young children. Three of the centres have been successfully delivered, while Cohuna Consolidated School is currently in delivery with completion scheduled for 2027.
The Early Learning Centre at Wedderburn College, now known as Early Learning Victoria Dupitjin, was delivered by erbas™ with full multidisciplinary engineering services. The purpose-built centre provides long day care and three and four year old kindergarten programs for up to 90 children per day. The facility includes indoor learning spaces, outdoor play areas, a maternal and child health consulting room, a community room for meetings and playgroup, and carparking. Co-located with the school, the project was delivered to improve accessibility for families, simplify drop-offs, and support smooth transitions to primary education. The centre’s name, chosen in consultation with Dja Dja Wurrung Traditional Owners, reflects the original name of the place: Dupitjin.
