UNE – Indoor Recreation Centre
We designed the largest geothermal system for pool water and space heating in Australia for the Indoor Pool and Recreation Centre at the University of New England’s campus.

The facility reduced SportUNE’s annual CO2 emissions by 197,000 kg, the equivalent of the amount of CO2 absorbed by 8,000 trees. Forty geothermal loops provide 500kW of capacity for the facility.
The project provides enhanced and additional facilities including a new gym, international standard basketball hall, indoor swimming pool, entrance, foyer, café and administration offices as well as a major refurbishment of the existing indoor swimming pool.
