The Korumburra Community Hub located in Victoria designed for South Gippsland Shire in conjunction with FJMT Studio. The development features a 24-hour library, community rooms and kindergarten areas.

It also provides multipurpose rooms, a computer training lab and kitchen for community activities such as performances, wellbeing programs, workshops, training and education.

The conceptual design for Korumburra Community Hub was based on establishing a new community heart for the fast-growing regional township and surrounds. The core idea to create a welcoming and accessible multi-purpose facility for the changing demographic of the region.

The Community Hub was designed to meet a highly sustainable agenda which drove all key design decisions. Environmental benefits were included in the design such as sensor activated blinds, double-glazed windows and solar panels. Preserving the existing trees and the hilly location were challenging but have benefitted the final design with beautiful views from the two floors of the building.
