Named after the Hon. Dugald Thomson, the first Federal Member for North Sydney, Thomson Park pavilion replaced the existing brick building situated in one of the busiest ovals in the area.
The oval is used by hundreds of people every week from local sporting clubs and schools. The new building has public toilets, change rooms, canteen, storage and rainwater tanks.
The project was funded by the Federal Government and the local council.
